Matthijs Reinink
"This course has taught me how to manage projects independently"

Kramp is increasingly taking a project-based approach to establishing and improving logistical concepts. "The IPMA-D course taught me how to manage projects independently", explains Matthijs Reinink, who works as a Product Specialist in Logistical Concepts. The Anjo Foundation contributed to the costs of his course.

Matthijs is responsible for marketing, maintaining and improving logistical concepts such as the replenishing service, two bin, set delivery, scan to order and EDI links. All of these services make life easier for the customer by optimising the supply chain.

The right skills
"Johny Banning, our Business Solutions Manager, taught me the principles of project management", says Matthijs. "The IMPA-D course seemed the perfect way to learn to manage projects independently. Over four days, you learn the theoretical basis of project management and start applying this knowledge immediately in practical exercises. The course equips you with the skills you need to structure a project properly and generate support for it. I also learned how to properly create and track project plans".

Useful knowledge
Matthijs is positive about the quality and structure of the course. "The course was excellent. We had a skilled tutor who works with this kind of material on a daily basis. He was able to explain the material in an accessible and engaging way, covering subjects including setting up a project, planning, finances, handling conflict and success factors. He also looked at social skills, leadership and preferred styles".

Invest in yourself
Every day, Matthijs experiences the benefits of the knowledge he has gained. "I think the Anjo Foundation is an excellent initiative. It's a direct investment in the development of employees and the organisation. If any colleagues are considering doing a course, I would say that they should go for it. If you can use an appropriate course to improve your own skills—for customers, for Kramp and, of course, for you personally too—then take that opportunity and keep investing in yourself!"
